About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to join their Water Business Area in the Syracuse, NY office. This role offers the opportunity to be mentored and collaborate with skilled engineers, develop meaningful relationships within the Arcadis community and with clients, and gain experience in various market sectors. The intern will provide technical and design support for water, wastewater, or industrial projects, perform fieldwork, communicate with project managers and clients, and develop documentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about communication, dedicated to supporting their team, motivated for personal and professional growth, dependable, team-oriented, proactive, and eager to take ownership of tasks. They should also have a strong interest in continuous growth.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree.
Experience with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship experience in Consulting Engineering firm or Municipal work environment.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

Providing technical and design support for water, wastewater, or industrial projects as part of a team.
Performing fieldwork to support data collection.
Corresponding with project managers, project teams, and clients.
Developing results and documentation to share with project managers and clients at meetings.
Growing professionally by engaging in a variety of market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team.
Working on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
