Water Distribution Worker I/II
About The Position

As a Water Distribution Worker I or II, you will perform a variety of tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of water distribution systems and facilities. You will also be responsible for operating light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment, assist in installing and repairing mains, valves, hydrants and meters. This job requires physical labor such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. Requirements
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, GED, or higher level degree.
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.
- Possession of a valid California Class B driver’s license with a Tanker Endorsement within twelve months of appointment (for Worker I).
- Possession of a California Department of Public Health Water Distribution Operator Grade 1 (D1) certificate within twelve months of appointment (for Worker I).
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience performing field maintenance work similar to that of a Water Distribution Worker I with the City of Roseville (for Worker II).
- Possession of a valid California Class B driver’s license with a Tanker Endorsement by date of appointment (for Worker II).
- Possession of a California State Water Resources Control Board Water Distribution Operator Grade 2 (D2) certificate by date of appointment (for Worker II).
Nice To Haves
- Some general maintenance and/or construction experience is preferred (for Worker I).
Responsibilities
