About The Position

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with high-pressure steam boilers required.
- Valid New York State (NYS) Driver's License required.
Responsibilities
- Tend boilers to maintain correct pressure and safe water levels; clean and recondition them for inspections.
- Clean/change fuel oil strainers, replace packing glands on leaking valves, and lubricate power house equipment.
- Run the diesel generator and air compressor weekly to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Take hourly readings on steam, oil, water, air, and AC equipment; maintain basic boiler room logs.
- Safely add required chemicals to boilers and fuel oil tanks.
