About The Position

Xylem is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Technician to work on-site at its facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina. The technician will operate, service, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment. Equipment-specific training will be provided, and candidates with previous wastewater system operating or maintenance experience are especially encouraged to apply.

The facility operates 24/7. This role is for the afternoon/second shift, primarily working four 10-hour shifts per week, with flexibility to occasionally cover other shifts. The position involves working in a customer-facing environment and identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a high customer-facing position.
• Ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns.
• Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of technical experience; industrial or commercial process water experience is preferred.
• Previous experience maintaining or operating wastewater systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to use smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment equipment on site.

• Occasionally cover shifts other than the afternoon/second shift as needed.
