Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Ability to learn wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet applications
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Previous wastewater treatment, water treatment, utility, industrial, maintenance, or mechanical experience
Wastewater Operator License or certification
CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
Completion of water or wastewater treatment coursework
Experience with pumps, motors, electrical equipment, instrumentation, or process controls

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, belt presses, disinfection systems, and related machinery
Conduct routine inspections, testing, sampling, and monitoring of treatment processes
Perform basic laboratory analyses and record operational data
Monitor plant performance, including flow rates, chemical usage, dosage levels, and equipment operation
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on treatment equipment
Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with emergency repairs as needed
Respond to after-hours callouts and emergency situations
Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records
Ensure facilities remain safe, clean, secure, and compliant with regulations
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and stakeholders
Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
