We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Wastewater Operator to join our team in a critical, hands-on role supporting safe and efficient plant operations. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working overnight shifts on a rotating 12-hour schedule, including weekends and holidays, and is ready to respond when the unexpected happens.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in water or wastewater treatment operations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of process control, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices
  • Ability to perform maintenance and emergency repairs independently
  • Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, belt presses, and disinfection systems
  • Perform routine testing, process monitoring, and basic laboratory analysis
  • Maintain and troubleshoot treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance
  • Record and track plant data, including flow rates, chemical usage, and system performance
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies and callouts to repair equipment and systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and support mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and secure at all times
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service when needed
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, and operational procedures
