Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalency
No experience required
Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Achieve TCEQ Class I Wastewater Collection License within (1) first year of employment.
Achieve TCEQ Class II Wastewater Collection License within (3) three years of employment.
Achieve TCEQ Class III Wastewater Collection License within (5) five years of employment.
Achieve Class "B" CDL from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record with a tank endorsement within (1) first year of employment.
Excellent knowledge of sanitary sewer collection system infrastructure.
Proficient in power tools.
Dependability.

Responsibilities

Maintain grounds and landscaping.
Respond to customer complaints.
Transport sludge.
Assist other crews.
Perform equipment and vehicle inspections.
Maintain and monitor all aspects of the city's wastewater infrastructure.

Participate in learning about landscaping principles and proper sludge/waste disposal.
Provide assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
Maintain and operate sewer infrastructure.
