Requirements
- Mobile position covering the service areas of New York City Boroughs and Long Island
- Reports directly to the Director of Site Services - NSU's Hillsborough home office
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately document work performed, labor hours, and materials used in the CMMS system
- Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and team members
- Ability to work independently and support team efforts
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response
- Ability to travel within the service area as needed
- Ability to maintain accurate records for time, mileage, and expenses
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, piping, blowers, and compressors
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including motors, VFDs, PLCs, and process instrumentation (level, flow, pressure, pH, DO)
- Identify equipment issues such as vibration, overheating, leaks, and control faults, and implement effective repairs and solutions
- Operate hand and power tools and assist with site preparation and repair projects as needed
- Accurately document work performed, labor hours, and materials used in the CMMS system
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding work progress and issues
- Work independently, support team efforts, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response
- Travel within the service area as needed, maintaining accurate records for time, mileage, and expenses
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
