Woodard & Curran is growing, and we are looking for qualified Maintenance Technicians and Mechanics in Boston! As a Maintenance Technician, you will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as hydraulic systems, air handlers, compressors, generators, gearboxes, pumps, engines, power tools, vehicles, and sewer, stormwater and/or water distribution systems, while complying with all company Health & Safety procedures and policies. Must be able to dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License required.
• Possess or have the ability to obtain the following MA hoisting licenses within a predetermined time frame: MA HE-1B-Telescoping Boom w/Cables Cranes HE-3A- Air or Electric Powered
• Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow healthy and safety procedures.
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• 5-10 years’ of relevant mechanical and technical experience in water and/or wastewater facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facilities.
• Implementation and management of an innovative predictive maintenance management program.
• Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, rain events, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc.
• Perform all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments that are assigned to by the project's preventive maintenance and repair program.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the maintenance department and on maintenance vehicles as assigned by the project’s manager.
• Conduct all work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
• Complete all work and projects to meet goals and objectives set by the project’s manager.
