About The Position
Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Wastewater Engineer to join their Coralville, IA office. This role involves working with communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. The engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, and Land Survey Chiefs, to deliver integrated solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
- Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction.
- Iowa or Nebraska P.E. license or EIT certification with ability to obtain P.E. license within 1 year preferred.
- Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Business Development, including initiation of client contacts and preparation of project proposals.
- Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
- Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
- Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
- Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
