About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join their Resilience Water team. This role focuses on tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions for water issues such as quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience. The engineer will collaborate with experienced professionals, support project development, interact with clients, and enhance technical capabilities within the global Resilience business area, which is dedicated to safeguarding natural environments and water resources for future generations.

Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)

Nice To Haves

Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment
Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit
Experience with modeling software tools such as HydroCAD or StormCAD
EIT certification

Responsibilities

Evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines, pumping facilities, stormwater management, and green infrastructure.
Supporting project management activities.
Contributing to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
Supporting Asset Management projects, including utilizing data analytics for operational and organizational assessments, conducting condition assessments, and evaluating facility performance to improve asset management strategies.
Supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participating in client meetings.
Supporting the preparation of design plans, permitting and construction activities, technical reports, and construction documents.
Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitating coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
Working independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for collaboration across the U.S. and internationally.
Learning and using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery, including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
