About The Position

The Resilience Water team seeks an Entry-Level Water Engineer who is dedicated, creative, and energetic, and who is interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues such as quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. This role sits within our global business area, Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we are feeling the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and the loss of biodiversity. The frequency of large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is increasing. Nice To Haves

  • Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit
  • Experience with modeling software tools such as HydroCAD or StormCAD
  • EIT certification

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines, pumping facilities, stormwater management, and green infrastructure.
  • Supporting project management activities.
  • Contributing to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
  • Supporting Asset Management projects, including utilizing data analytics to perform operational and organizational assessments, conducting condition assessments, and evaluating the overall performance of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
  • Supporting preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participating in client meetings.
  • Supporting preparation of design plans, permitting and construction activities, technical reports, and construction documents.
  • Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitating coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
  • Working independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Learning and using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
