About The Position

Responsible for instructing the people in this area as well as drive the lift truck as needed and maintain production & safety requirements. This position is Monday- Friday 3pm-11pm.

Requirements

• Must be able to instruct employees in the department in their duties.
• Must be able to drive forklift.
• Must be able to operate the baler.
• Must be able to trip trailers.
• Must be able to conduct backing inventory.
• Must be able to receive in and ship out raw materials.
• Must be able to sort heavy duty carpet cores.

Responsibilities

• Instruct employees in the department in their duties.
• Ensure all employees are following safety rules and working safely.
• Drive forklift to keep unsorted and sorted tubes flowing as needed.
• Ensure the hopper is loaded and operate the baler as needed.
• Advise Department Manager of problems and needs in the department.
• Lead associates to meet production needs daily.
• Trip trailers as needed for tube orders.
• Contact outside plants if tubes are needed to keep the facility running.
• Call trailers in/out through WhereNet.
• Conduct Backing Inventory as needed daily.
• Receive in and ship out Raw Materials as needed.
• Sort heavy duty carpet cores daily.
• Attend periodic departmental meetings as directed by supervision.
• Perform non-essential duties as directed by supervision.
