About The Position

Omega Technical Services is seeking a Waste Management Non-Destructive Assay (NDA) Engineer to provide technical oversight of NDA activities supporting transuranic (TRU), low-level waste (LLW), and mixed low-level waste (MLLW) characterization at the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC). The role serves as an NDA Expert Technical Reviewer within the Waste Management TRU Program Organization, ensuring measurement quality, system reliability, and compliance with applicable standards and waste acceptance requirements. The position is based on-site in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with a four-day, 10-hour-per-day schedule from Monday through Thursday. The position is contingent upon contract award and/or project funding. Candidate identification, screening, and submission may occur before award; employment offers and start dates depend on successful contract award, funding authorization, and client approval. The successful candidate will conduct independent technical reviews, oversee NDA systems and procedures, validate measurement and waste disposition data, support audits and criticality safety controls, and train and mentor technical staff. The engineer must maintain required training and qualifications and comply with environmental, safety, health, quality, security, pollution prevention, emergency, and conduct-of-operations requirements.
