Waste Disposal Attendant | CUIMC | Part-Time | Rotating Shift w/Weekends and Holidays Schedule
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Waste Management, performs a variety of tasks to ensure that all medical, solid and recyclable waste is disposed of in the proper manner. This is a non-professional position. This part-time position is at CUMC campus, rotating shifts, with schedules on Weekends and Holidays. At NewYork-Presbyterian, our staff are essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our waste disposal professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- DOT certification to remove hazardous waste or to be completed within two months of hire.
- Certification to operate pallet jack and/or motorized pony cart or to be completed within two months of hire.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
