Waste Acceptance Specialist
About The Position
The Waste Acceptance Specialist determines safe, compliant, and cost effective disposal options for a variety of hazardous and non hazardous waste materials. The Specialist will provide prompt and thorough review of waste profiles. The review process may include making inquiries about, and/or corrections to chemical or regulatory information in the waste profile. He /she will determine the best disposal option based on physical, chemical, and regulatory information in the profile and will approve waste into the Clean Harbors network of facilities. The Waste Acceptance Specialist will assist customers (both internal and external) with regulatory and technical issues and will work closely with the Company's Compliance and Health and Safety Departments to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations as well as conformance to facility permits.
Requirements
- Review of waste profiles.
- Inquiries about chemical or regulatory information.

- Approve waste into Clean Harbors network of facilities.
- Assist customers with regulatory and technical issues.
- Work with Compliance and Health and Safety Departments.
- Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Ensure conformance to facility permits.
