The Washer Operator I is responsible for the set-up, operation, and performance of all vial washers and component sterilizers. This role ensures all equipment in these areas is operated efficiently, safely, and consistently. The position involves loading glass and plastic vials onto the vial washer, monitoring washing progress, and performing changeovers as required by the production schedule. The operator will also perform tasks requested by supervision, wear appropriate safety equipment, adhere to mid-level gowning requirements, and follow all required SOPs/GMPs/safety requirements. Good documentation practices, restocking production supplies, and ensuring correct batch record documentation are key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes verifying and checking sterilizer cycles, loading applicable sterilizers, managing support equipment post-production, and performing daily/weekly cleaning as specified in SOPs. Accurate waste separation and labeling, along with overtime as needed, are also part of the role.
