About The Position

The Washbay position is responsible for cleaning and detailing new and used vehicles, both inside and out. This role also involves prepping sold vehicles for customer delivery, which includes fueling, adding floor mats, and performing a final detail. Additionally, the Washbay attendant will wash and vacuum vehicles as requested by the sales and service departments, assist with lot organization and vehicle movement, and maintain the cleanliness of the washbay area and equipment. Reporting any vehicle damage or defects to management is crucial. The role also requires safely driving and handling various types of vehicles, supporting dealership events, and staging vehicles for display. Adherence to all safety protocols and dealership procedures is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail new and used vehicles (interior and exterior)
  • Prep sold vehicles for customer delivery (fuel, floor mats, final detail, etc.)
  • Wash and vacuum vehicles as requested by sales and service departments
  • Assist with lot organization, moving vehicles as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the washbay area and equipment
  • Report any vehicle damage, defects, or needed repairs to management
  • Safely drive and handle all types of vehicles
  • Support dealership events and vehicle staging for display when necessary
  • Ensure all safety protocols and dealership procedures are followed
