About The Position

The primary function of this position is to ensure clean part assemblies are staged for pre-assembly. This role involves receiving parts from Tear Down, washing and blasting them to ensure cleanliness, and then transporting them to pre-assembly. The technician will also be responsible for cleaning out the scrap bin and emptying trash at the workstation as needed. Additionally, they must inform maintenance when machinery breaks down, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and be open to other tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shop.

Requirements

• Basic automotive or mechanical skills
• Familiarity and/or use of power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop

Responsibilities

• Receives direction from shop lead on the priority of work.
• Receives parts from Tear Down
• Wash and Blast parts ensuring cleanliness
• Transport parts to pre-assembly
• Clean out scrap bin and empty trash at work station as needed.
• Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Other tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shop
