Hydro Blast Technician
About The Position
Redi Industrial Services is seeking motivated Hydro Blast Technicians to join our Salt Lake City team. As a Hydro Blast Technician, you'll play a critical role in safely cleaning and maintaining industrial facilities and equipment. This role involves operating high-pressure water blasting equipment, performing industrial cleaning of various equipment, and assisting with setup, inspections, and maintenance. Safety is paramount, requiring strict adherence to all safety procedures, including confined space and lockout/tagout practices, and the proper use of PPE. The job also involves working effectively with a team, completing documentation, maintaining a clean work environment, and performing physically demanding work in diverse industrial settings and weather conditions. Travel to customer job sites is also a requirement.
Requirements
- Previous hydro blasting, industrial cleaning, construction, manufacturing, or labor experience.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screenings
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- TWIC card is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).
Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform industrial cleaning of tanks, vessels, piping, heat exchangers, and other equipment.
- Assist with equipment setup, inspections, maintenance, and teardown.
- Follow all safety procedures, confined space requirements, and lockout/tagout practices.
- Wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Complete required job documentation and equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Travel to customer job sites as needed.
- Perform physically demanding work in a variety of industrial environments and weather conditions.
