About The Position
Plaisted Companies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wash Bay Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of company vehicles and trailers while supporting overall shop operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety standards, and contributes to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

- Must have mathematical aptitude, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and awareness of maintenance and repair practices
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods as this position will occasionally require you to lie down, bend, and stoop.
- Must have sufficient mobility to navigate through the warehouse.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and understand when to utilize team lifting and mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to see and hear normal maintenance equipment.
- Must be able to see and distinguish colors and patterns clearly.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma
- One year of experience in a maintenance environment.
- CDL and familiarity with trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities
- Wash vehicles and trailers as assigned
- Perform waxing and polishing to maintain appearance standards
- Inspect vehicles for visible issues and report repair needs
- Replace missing or damaged lug nut covers and chrome center caps
- Properly use and dispose of cleaning solvents and materials
- Assist shop mechanics as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including: Cleaning walls, Squeegeeing floors, Properly storing tools and equipment at the end of each shift
- Support shop and warehouse compliance with OSHA regulations (first aid, fall hazards, fire safety, etc.)
- Identify and support cost-saving initiatives where possible
- Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with team members
- Protect company and customer confidentiality
- Maintain punctuality and effective use of work time
