About The Position

The Wash Bay Manager oversees a team of part-time vehicle detailers and ensures all vehicles are cleaned, prepared, and maintained to the highest standards. This role is critical in delivering a safe, clean, and ready-to-drive experience for customers participating in off-road activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in vehicle detailing or a related field.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Availability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
Ability to take direction and respond constructively to feedback.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems effectively.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of approximately four detailers, including scheduling, performance oversight, and ensuring timely, high-quality work.
Coordinate staffing needs for daily operations, special events, and rapid fleet turnaround requirements.
Perform and oversee thorough vehicle cleaning and preparation, including exterior, interior, undercarriage, and engine bay.
Inspect vehicles for safety concerns; identify and report warning lights, damage (vehicle, windshield, tires), and remove vehicles from service as needed.
Fuel and stage vehicles to ensure readiness for customer use.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure supplies are stocked and readily available.
Identify and report unsafe or hazardous conditions in the work area.
Ensure team compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and proper use of cleaning and sanitization supplies.
Maintain cleanliness of parking areas and back-of-house spaces.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Model company values in all interactions with customers, team members, and partners.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
