About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Wash Bay Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for keeping our school bus fleet clean, safe, and ready for daily operation by washing buses, moving vehicles, and maintaining the wash bay. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a professional fleet and works efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements. This is a required qualification for this position.

Requirements

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements is required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks, DOT drug and alcohol testing, and company screening requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, standing, and climbing.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Wash Bay team by developing work schedules, assigning daily responsibilities, monitoring productivity, and ensuring all buses are cleaned and prepared for daily operation.
  • Driving a bus route during the school year as needed.
  • Wash and detail the interior and exterior of school buses according to company standards.
  • Safely move buses to and from the wash bay, parking areas, and maintenance facilities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections when operating company vehicles.
  • Inspect buses for cleanliness, damage, and maintenance concerns, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe wash bay and work area.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
  • Assist with fueling buses as needed.
  • Remove trash, lost-and-found items, and debris from buses.
  • Ensure buses are prepared and ready for daily routes and special assignments.
  • Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Assist the maintenance and operations departments with additional fleet support as assigned.
