About The Position

Olympic Disposal, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Sequim, WA. The schedule is Monday–Friday from 9am-5pm. The starting pay $20/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities. Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

  • Knowledge of operation of forklifts, trucks, and washers
  • Minimum Class 3A driver’s licence with clean abstract
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
  • Good communication skills
  • Physically fit
  • Mechanically inclined

Responsibilities

  • Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Moving trucks safely
  • Parking trucks safely and in an organized manner
  • Washing and organizing tires
  • Organizing Washbay equipment
  • Wash containers, trucks, and floors
  • Ensure Washbay is kept in clean and safe working condition
  • Ensure all containers coming into the shop are washed and left in a state that is representative of our service levels
  • Prioritizing work, based on communication with operations management staff, operators, mechanical staff, welders, and others to ensure that customer expectations for timely service are met
  • Report containers needing repair
  • Ensure the building is secure and locked at shift end
