About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating trailer and tanker traffic to be washed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The work schedule is Sunday - Wednesday, 7am - 5pm. This position will use a yard truck to transport 40-foot trailers to and from the production yard/holding area to be washed. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

  • Must have a current North Carolina Driver’s License.
  • Must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Ability to shovel.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, reach.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
  • Must have 6 months of Truck and Trailer Experience.
  • Must have 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years.
  • Must have a valid North Carolina Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

  • Truck and/or trailer wash experience preferred.
  • Experience with pressure washers, cleaning chemicals, and basic mechanical tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate trailer and tanker traffic to be washed.
  • Use a yard truck to transport 40-foot trailers to and from the production yard/holding area to be washed.
  • Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more.
  • Use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions.
  • Read and understand policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Document information.
  • Communicate with others written and verbally.
