About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all plant maintenance activities and providing leadership to a team of approximately 15 maintenance technicians. This role supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing production downtime, and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing a highly skilled and motivated team while ensuring adherence to SQF, GMP, safety, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent training preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and at least five (5) years of related experience in a food manufacturing environment will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a maintenance leadership role with direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proven experience directing, evaluating, coaching, and developing maintenance technicians.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC systems.
  • Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and coordinate repairs efficiently.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technicians, management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, evaluate, and train a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities to support continuous production operations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement strategies to reduce machine downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the repair of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related equipment issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment failures to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Promote and maintain a "Safety First" culture throughout the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety requirements, SQF standards, and GMP practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and management teams to achieve operational goals.
