About The Position

New York Bus Sales, the largest authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealership in New York State, is seeking a Bus Washer/Detailer for their Batavia, NY location. This full-service dealership offers sales, service, parts, and graphics, providing safe and dependable buses and professional services. The primary function of the Washer/Detailer is to clean the inside and outside of vehicles according to company policies and procedures, working under close supervision and following specific procedures with frequent checks and potential formal training.

Requirements

• Knowledge of hazards related to cleaning supplies.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instruction sufficient for following cleaning instructions.
• Speech and hearing sufficient for regular daily communication with employees and supervisors.
• Hold and maintain a valid NYS Drivers License and Evidence of Insurability
• Be Safety conscious and demonstrate the ability to follow prescribed safety practices to prevent injuries to self and others.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Take direction from supervisor in cleaning inside and outside of vehicles.
• Wash inside and outside of windows using cleaners and available materials.
• Sweep inside of buses.
• Wipe down seats and interior of buses.
• Wash Bay down at the end of each day.
• Follow all prescribed Safety methods and perform work safely.
• Assist co-workers with specific tasks when needed.
• Perform other duties assigned.
