About The Position

The City of Albert Lea has the following seasonal/temporary position available: Warming House Attendant. This role involves monitoring warming houses and outdoor skating areas during the winter months, ensuring the supervision and security of skating participants and the warming houses. The attendant will also help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warming house and report any safety concerns or facility issues to their supervisor. Opening and closing duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Enjoy working with the public.
• Dependable, punctual and friendly.
• Able to work independently and follow department procedures.
• Comfortable working in winter weather.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the warming houses and outdoor skating areas during the winter months.
• Responsible for the supervision and security of skating participants and the warming houses.
• Help keep the warming house clean and orderly.
• Report safety concerns and facility issues to supervisor.
• Open/closing duties.
