About The Position

As an agent with Expeditors, you will take ownership of a customer portfolio, being responsible for bookings, accurate pick up and scheduling of transportation between customer, service provider, and receiver. You will provide timely and accurate documentation, processes through Expeditors systems within the operational process standards. You will communicate delays and work with autonomy to solve challenges to achieve delivery needs of your clients. This is an entry-level position that provides opportunity for advancement based on success. Heavy focus on ground/road freight and warehousing/distribution which includes basic warehouse activities/inventory management. Strong training program available to develop skillset with leading global logistics provider.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the logistics field or equivalent training of 2 years
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree
  • Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and Trace truck transportation shipments and reporting
  • Coordinate domestic and/or international shipments
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Learn US Export and Dangerous Goods compliance regulations
  • Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Meet both company and US compliance standards at all times
  • Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy
