Under general supervision, perform shipping, receiving, inventory management, and issuance of materials to support manufacturing and supply chain functions within a total task, team-based operating system. This role will contribute to the achievement of company initiatives in order to meet our safety, quality, process reliability, customer service, cost, and innovation goals. Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, while operating, monitoring, and controlling equipment, systems and processes associated with inbound receipts, outbound orders, and internal customer support.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Ability to perform shipping, receiving, inventory management, and issuance of materials.
  • Ability to contribute to company initiatives in order to meet safety, quality, process reliability, customer service, cost, and innovation goals.
  • Ability to perform Autonomous Maintenance activities – general cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Ability to maintain equipment performance and respond to abnormalities.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, orderly and tour-ready work area / 5S.
  • Ability to resolve basic operational process abnormalities and service interruptions through effective decision making and escalation.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team and utilize problem solving tools.
  • Ability to contribute expertise to cross-functional initiatives and projects.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license to operate PIT.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C-TPAT compliance, trailer dock lock/chock procedures, LOTO, BOS/department audits and rack inspection.
  • Experience with PIT operation and pre-use inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and stage a variety of material and container types for consumption.
  • Replenish and locate inventory per current best practices.
  • Value added services including DMR processing and dispositions, internal stock transfers, sampling.
  • Inventory adjustments i.e. Damage, PSL.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for back-flush/ non-inventory items.
  • Process inbound receipts (raw, packaging, liquid/dry bulk) including check-in procedures, dock management, quality inspection, and HU generation according to the receiving schedule.
  • Load outbound freight utilizing proper trailer loading techniques satisfying DOT/customer requirements and deploy to demand, maintaining schedule adherence.
  • Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic format.
  • Maintain compliance to safety and security functions including C-TPAT compliance, trailer dock lock/chock procedures, LOTO, BOS/department audits and rack inspection.
  • Ensure safe operation of PIT including daily pre-use inspection and appropriate licensing.
  • Execute Autonomous Maintenance activities – general cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment to prescribed standards (wrapper, flipper).
  • Maintain equipment performance through the understanding of operation/function and able to appropriately respond to abnormalities.
  • Maintain clean, orderly and tour-ready work area / 5S.
  • Resolve basic operational process abnormalities and service interruptions through effective decision making and escalation.
  • Work independently or with a team and utilize problem solving tools to determine root cause and counter-measures to eliminate losses and improve processes.
  • Contribute expertise to cross-functional initiatives and projects.
