About The Position

The Warehouseman will perform all aspects of warehouse functions, rotating through receiving, stocking, replenishments, special handling, and general warehouse operations. This role involves receiving incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against packing slips, stocking shelves, and operating warehouse equipment like forklifts and stand-up lifts while adhering to safety standards. The position requires familiarity with standard warehousing concepts, practices, and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing various tasks under general supervision. The Warehouseman must also adhere to company policies and procedures and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

High school education or (GED)
2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic computer, Microsoft office and/or any other software requested by department.
Basic knowledge of shipping and warehousing required.
Ability to count, read and write numbers, and read packing slips.
Attention to detail and ability to find and correct errors.
Ability to take instruction, follow direction and meet productivity standards.
Able to stand for prolonged periods.
Able to bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, using appropriate lifting techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments of supplies from outside vendors; verify accuracy of items and quantities in relation to packing slip.
Stock warehouse shelves with inventory.
Operate forklifts, stand-up lifts, and other warehouse equipment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Adjusts storage space assignments to handle daily flow of finished product.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
Works under general supervision.
Performs other functions/duties as required.
