About The Position

The Warehouseman performs a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving and processing incoming material, preparing material for shipment, and managing and organizing material within the warehouse. The role follows quality service standards and applicable procedures, rules, and regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. The position works alternating first and second shifts and may require multiple shifts and mandatory overtime as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred but not required.
Must be able to operate forklifts and cranes.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed.
Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills.
Walking or standing for 80% of the shift.
Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing are required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience preferred.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and complete scheduled orders for shipping, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
Identify all material to be loaded using the bill of lading (BOL).
Receive, inspect, and process incoming material; report damaged material to a manager before accepting it.
Identify received material using the packing slip, tag it, and store it in the designated location.
Cut material with a metal saw according to customer requirements.
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweep, dust, and mop; and keep the warehouse and work area orderly.
Wear appropriate safety equipment.
Perform special assignments as assigned by the supervisor.
