About The Position

Warehouse-Yard associates ensure Codale's customers receive prompt and accurate orders. The role involves shipping, receiving, storing, and delivering a wide variety of materials and supplies. The position is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
Data-entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.
Knowledge of safety practices and use of assigned personal protective equipment.
Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment; must obtain forklift operator certification after hire.
Strong mathematical skills, including arithmetic with fractions and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
Ability to work as a team member and abide by Codale's core values and beliefs.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information to management, customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
Problem-solving skills, including collecting and presenting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to address practical problems with limited information and standardization.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and move Yard materials from storage to staging sites or designated areas according to sales tickets.
Use work orders and verbal instructions to assemble materials and containers that need to be picked, moved, or staged.
Collect and pick Yard materials included in customer orders using pick tickets.
Package merchandise for shipment to maximize efficiency and reduce damage.
Wrap, label, and mark materials for easy identification and loading.
Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials and ensure the proper piece count for drivers and customers.
Load materials onto vehicles and properly secure cargo.
Unload incoming vehicles, prepare receiving documents, and receive Yard materials.
Document shipments and inventory changes using Eclipse.
Clean work areas, machines, and equipment routinely.
Safely operate equipment needed in the work area, including industrial trucks or propane sit-down forklifts to load or move materials and products.
Count, weigh, or measure incoming and outgoing items and compare identifying information and quantities against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with purchasing.
