Warehouse Worker
About The Position
This role is responsible for assisting with various warehouse operations including order picking, packing, and display. The worker will read customer orders to determine items for movement, gathering, packing, and shipping. They will also ensure the warehouse is safe and accessible, assemble customer orders, and assist with shipping and receiving tasks such as unloading trucks and checking merchandise. Additional duties include marking materials, assisting with physical inventory counts, and performing facilities maintenance as needed, such as sweeping, dusting, and mopping. The role also involves maintaining product quality control, rotation, and inventory systems, including marking boxes for aging and rotation, accurate inventory reporting, and adhering to a schedule for flower preparation. A key physical requirement is the ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Assist with order picking, packing, and display.
- Read customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, packed, and either shipped, delivered, or picked up.
- Move materials and items from receiving cooler or storage cooler areas to shipping or to other designated areas for packing and distribution.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
- Sweep, dust, and mop.
- Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Responsible for product quality control, rotation, and inventory.
- Maintain a system of marking boxes for aging and rotation.
- Accurate inventory reporting: personally checking big changes reported.
- Adhere to a schedule of which flowers to put in water and when.
