The company is hiring an experienced Warehouse Worker in the Longview, TX area. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. It is a non-exempt role that reports to the Foreman, with duties assigned according to specific procedures and frequent checking of work. No per diem is available.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
Some sites may require a forklift certification
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

Stores, removes, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles that cannot be handled by material handling devices.
Operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves.
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color.
Moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery.
Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or stock items.
Records material items received or distributed.
May maintain inventory records.
Performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
