Warehouse Worker - Food Distribution Center (T3897)
About The Position
This role is in a Food Distribution Center. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. You will attend safety trainings to learn how to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your duties will include packing, loading, and shipping items to stores and guests, ensuring accurate processing of merchandise. You will work safely, quickly, and efficiently to handle freight and move inventory throughout the warehouse, while maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area. Reporting to work on time and completing job tasks accurately and on time is essential. You will also engage in problem-solving to support continuous improvement and maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment. Please note that job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
Requirements
- Able to lift and carry merchandise weighing 35-50 lbs. frequently throughout a shift.
- Able to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout a shift.
- Able to push utility carts up to 60 lbs., use carts, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Work at a height of up to 40 ft. on a mezzanine (where applicable).
- Maintain positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
- Able to accurately use basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Able to accurately read labels, tickets, and other product documentation.
- Able to operate computer systems or handheld devices with minimal direction after receiving training.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Able to be trained on and operate all powered equipment safely (including but not limited to Pallet Rider, Scissor Lift, Sit Down & Standup Forklift), and work at heights of up to 40 ft. where applicable.
- Must be able to understand, speak, and read English with sufficient proficiency to follow safety and other policies, trainings, and instructions.
- Able to work in various temperature-controlled environments including refrigerator and freezer.
