This role involves selecting proper storage locations and placing items into stock, as well as locating items in stock and issuing or delivering them to production. The worker will utilize job packets, locator files, sales orders, computer terminals, and other stockroom records to identify and locate parts and storage locations. Responsibilities include preparing and packaging material and equipment for shipment, initiating the MRO requisitioning process, and advising appropriate personnel of shortages and questionable items. Accuracy in figures and recordkeeping is essential for processing and maintaining stockroom reports, records, and shipping documents. The role also includes loading and unloading commercial and company vehicles, efficiently performing inter-departmental material handling, and safely operating forklift trucks after passing a test. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required for driving company vehicles for pickups and deliveries. Participation in physical inventory, adherence to good housekeeping procedures and safety practices, and assisting and advising others are also key aspects of the position.
