About The Position

This role involves managing inventory within a warehouse setting. Key duties include selecting and stocking items, retrieving items for production, and maintaining accurate stockroom records. The position requires preparing materials for shipment, initiating requisitions, and reporting any stock discrepancies. Responsibilities also extend to loading and unloading vehicles, handling inter-departmental material transfers, and operating forklifts safely after passing a test. The worker will also be responsible for driving company vehicles for pickups and deliveries, participating in physical inventories, and adhering to housekeeping and safety standards. Assisting colleagues and performing other related tasks are also part of the role.

Requirements

Must be accurate with figures and recordkeeping.
Must pass forklift operation test.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Select proper storage location and place items into stock.
Locate items in stock and issue or deliver to production.
Work from job packets, locator files, sales orders, computer terminals, and other stockroom records to identify and locate parts and storage locations.
Prepare and package material and equipment for shipment.
Initiate MRO requisitioning process.
Advise proper personnel of shortages and questionable items.
Process and maintain stockroom reports, records and shipping documents accurately.
Load and unload commercial and company vehicles.
Efficiently perform inter-departmental material handling.
Safely use forklift trucks as required.
Drive company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries.
Participate in physical inventory.
Follow good housekeeping procedures and safety practices.
Assist and advise others and perform other activities as required.
