About The Position

LKQ Corporation is seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker to perform warehouse duties related to shipping and receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock. The role may involve operating manual or powered equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. The position is not responsible for supervising employees. Up to one year of work-related experience is listed as the minimum requirement.

Requirements

• Up to 1 year of work-related experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to follow clear directions and procedures for simple, repetitive problems.
• Follow standard procedures without decision-making responsibility and use guidance provided by a supervisor or manager.
• Work from assignments and priorities provided by a supervisor or manager.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles and tolerate awkward positions.
• May be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, equipment, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels; may regularly need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Periodic travel may be required, including overnight stays, depending on position requirements.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a warehouse or similar work environment.
• Prior powered industrial truck (PIT) experience, such as operating a forklift or order picker.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound product in its designated location.
• Pick or pull the correct product from appropriate locations and deliver it to the staging area or delivery truck.
• Operate manual or powered equipment to transport product within the warehouse.
• Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in assigned work areas.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
