Warehouse Worker (Full-Time, Nights)
About The Position
Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Worker to join their Operations team. This role is responsible for materials handling and product distribution within a distribution environment. The Warehouse Worker will perform manual and automated tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, and storage. The position ensures the efficient flow of products from vendors to customers, meeting service parameters. The Associate II, Warehouse Operations assists with Inbound or Outbound activities, adhering to quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This role involves receiving products in the Inbound section and shipping products in the Outbound section.
Requirements
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
- Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
- Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under moderate degree of supervision
- Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
- Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of experience, preferred
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Unloads trucks in the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to put pallets out of the trucks.
- Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products.
- Follows regulations to store refrigerated products if working with specialty products.
- Stores products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
- Picks products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.
