JOB FAIR Weekend Warehouse Worker
About The Position
Petco is hiring a full-time weekend Warehouse Worker at its distribution center in Reno, Nevada. The role works Friday through Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the opportunity to work overtime. The posted rate is $20.50 biweekly, with an option to sign up for daily pay. The Warehouse Worker handles and processes merchandise for storage and shipment. Duties include receiving, picking, packaging, loading, moving and replenishing inventory; using handheld scanning or voice-recognition systems; and operating powered material-handling equipment. The role involves repetitive lifting and moving of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Ability to repetitively lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass required certification to operate powered material-handling equipment.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
Responsibilities
- Pull merchandise from storage locations using a handheld radio-frequency device and/or voice-recognition system to scan or record selected items.
- Receive, pick, package, load and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds for shipment, using boxes, pallets, manual pallet jacks or powered material-handling equipment.
- Replenish inventory stock.
- Count material, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock and compare inventories with office records or computer figures.
- Unload incoming shipments and load outgoing trucks using powered industrial material-handling equipment.
- Arrange merchandise for staging or stocking in storage locations to maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to orders being processed.
