About The Position

Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks required for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, supporting an efficient flow from vendor receipt through shipment to internal and external customers. This role assists outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor and meets quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. The worker picks and ships orders based on customer needs, including picking small-unit items, palletizing and wrapping larger items, and packing small items. The position works Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or until work is complete, and requires flexibility to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs. The role involves working in a fast-paced distribution environment and cross-training in multiple warehouse areas.

Requirements

One to two years of related experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift of eight hours or more.
Ability to work consistently at heights up to 25 feet.
Must be able to work overtime with reasonable notice.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established hourly performance standards and rates.
Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as composite-toed safety shoes and a material-handling-equipment safety harness.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with moderate to limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Ability to learn and apply new information and methods, handle routine assignments requiring some problem resolution, and accurately process paperwork.
Flexibility, adaptability, and good multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-picking experience highly preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

Use the pick system to select small-unit items and place them on a cart.
Palletize large items on skids and wrap them for shipment.
Pack small items in boxes.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas, including inbound and outbound.
Assist outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor while meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards.
Pick and ship orders according to customer needs.
Follow site safety regulations and Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
Process paperwork accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications; follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
