About The Position

Performs daytime warehouse functions including receiving inbound product from vendors, tagging and recording product, restocking product into pick and reserve slots, and replenishing pick slots. This role is crucial for maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring efficient and accurate product selection during the night shift, which is key for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position is seasonal, lasting approximately 3-4 months, no later than September.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with pallet jack or high lift preferred.
  • Foodservice experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Certification in warehouse equipment.
  • Strong ability to get along with others.
  • Must be able to understand Voxware commands.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull boxes, pallet jack control arm, and pallets continuously.
  • Ability to climb/balance occasionally (in and out of pallet jack 9-inch step).
  • Ability to stoop/squat occasionally.
  • Ability to kneel/bend occasionally.
  • Ability to bend occasionally.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder occasionally.
  • Ability to grasp objects frequently (boxes, pallet jack controls, mouse, temperature gage).
  • Ability to manipulate objects frequently (hand/power tools, parts).
  • Ability to twist torso occasionally while driving the pallet jack to look for obstructions.

Responsibilities

  • Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to ensure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
  • Check the temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance with food safety and RRE requirements.
  • Verify the quantity of each product to ensure the physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances for accurate inventory adjustments.
  • Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using a forklift, pallet jack, and hi-low.
  • Complete required paperwork for daily receiving according to U.S. Foodservice, USDA, and SOX requirements.
  • Authenticate products received are placed into inventory by signing and dating paperwork.
  • Transport pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment.
  • Ensure all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
  • Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
  • Record all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing debris from the floor and racks.
  • Follow safety policies and practices at all times.
