About The Position

Performs daytime warehouse functions including receiving inbound product, tagging and recording product, restocking product into pick and reserve slots, and replenishing pick slots. This role is crucial for maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring efficient and accurate product selection for the night shift, contributing to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is a seasonal position expected to last 3-4 months, no later than September.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with pallet jack or high lift preferred.
  • Foodservice experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Certification in warehouse equipment.
  • Strong ability to get along with others.
  • Must be able to understand Voxware commands.
  • Continuously stand.
  • Frequently walk.
  • Frequently drive pallet jack.
  • Continuously lift 1-10 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift 10-20 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift 50-100 lbs. (up to 80 lbs.).
  • Continuously push/pull boxes, pallet jack control arm, pallets.
  • Occasionally climb/balance (in and out of pallet jack 9inch step).
  • Occasionally stoop/squat.
  • Occasionally kneel/bend.
  • Occasionally bend.
  • Occasionally reach above shoulder.
  • Frequently grasp objects (boxes, pallet jack controls, mouse, temperature gage).
  • Frequently manipulate objects (hand/power tools, parts).
  • Occasionally twist torso while driving the pallet jack to look for obstructions and/or other.

Responsibilities

  • Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to ensure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
  • Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance to U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.
  • Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
  • Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift, pallet jack and hi-low.
  • Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
  • Transport pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensure all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.
  • Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.
  • Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.
  • Follow safety policies and practices at all times.
