About The Position
Schimberg Co. is a family-owned pipe, valve, and fitting wholesale distributor with locations across the Midwest. Since 1918, we have served a diverse list of industrial and commercial customers. We are adding a warehouse worker to our Cedar Rapids location. This role offers the opportunity to learn the pipe, valve, and fitting distribution industry with opportunities to cross-train and build a rewarding career.
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs occasionally
- You'll be on your feet, walking, climbing ladders, lifting and moving material by hand or forklift throughout the day
- Warehouse workers are required to complete pre-employment drug screen as condition of hire
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload materials by hand or forklift
- Stock material into inventory
- Pull and stage orders for delivery
- Load and secure flatbed trailers for delivery
- Assist walk-in customers at our counter
