About The Position

The Warehouse Worker Night position is responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading delivery trucks, counting, sorting, and storing incoming product. This role utilizes company specific computer systems and software to manage workflow and accurately pick customer orders from stock. The position also involves maintaining warehouse organization, ensuring product freshness through proper rotation, and accurately documenting received and distributed items. Additionally, the role includes cleaning warehouse areas, participating in inventory cycles, and obtaining training for operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have or acquire forklift certification.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Daily loads or unloads delivery trucks.
  • Count, sort, or weigh incoming product to verify receipt of items.
  • Store product in bins, racks, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
  • Utilize company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Read and efficiently work customers' pick sheets to accurately determine items to be gathered, palletized, and distributed.
  • Achieve and maintain assigned case picks per hour and accuracy goals.
  • Examine stock to verify conformance to quality specifications.
  • Keep all locations neat, organized, and straightened, while maintaining product rotation.
  • Fill orders or issue supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and build orders on pallets for successful delivery.
  • Accurately document the amount of products or items received or distributed, or set aside due to damage or “out-of-date”.
  • Clean up all warehouse areas worked during shift by sweeping, discarding trash, and emptying boxes.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKUs.
  • Participate in and receive training for proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.

Benefits

  • Pay range $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Depending on Experience.
  • Additional $.75/hour night shift premium.
  • $500 Signing Bonus (Paid at 60 days of employment).
