About The Position

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for a variety of tasks including loading and unloading delivery trucks, counting and storing incoming product, and fulfilling customer orders. This role requires accuracy in gathering items, palletizing, and distributing products. The position also involves maintaining warehouse organization, participating in inventory counts, and ensuring the safe operation of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. The work environment can involve varying temperatures and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, with moderate to high noise levels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 19 years of age.
  • Must have or acquire forklift certification.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Daily loads or unloads delivery trucks.
  • Count, sort, or weigh incoming product to verify receipt of items.
  • Store product in bins, racks, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
  • Utilize company specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Read and efficiently work customers' pick sheets to accurately determine items to be gathered, palletized, and distributed.
  • Achieve assigned case picks per hour and accuracy goals.
  • Examine stock to verify conformance to quality specifications.
  • Keep all locations neat, organized, and straightened, while maintaining the rotation of product to ensure freshness.
  • Fill orders or issue supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and build orders on pallets, effectively and safely for successful delivery.
  • Accurately document the amount of products or items received or distributed, or set aside due to damage or “out-of-date”.
  • Clean up all warehouse areas worked during shift by sweeping, discarding of trash, and empty boxes prior to end of shift.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKU’s.
  • Participate and receive training certificate for proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
