About The Position

AES Drilling Fluids is hiring a Warehouse Worker/Mud Plant Operator for its Benwood, West Virginia mud plant and warehouse. The position is responsible for safely and promptly manufacturing liquid mud blends and loading them into vessels and trucks for delivery to customers. The facility services the oil field 24 hours a day. The role pays $22 per hour, with overtime and year-end bonuses, and offers a stable work environment and advancement opportunities. Local candidates are sought.

The work takes place in a warehouse and open-air plant environment. Employees are regularly exposed to drilling fluid products, including crude oils, gases, acids, and other oilfield chemicals, and may occasionally work in confined spaces. The environment may also involve heat, humidity, inclement weather, and noise. Employees must be willing to work additional hours during the week and/or on weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift operator certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to AES.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical fitness test, and drug screen.
• Willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of oilfield experience is preferred.
• Ability to assist with office duties, including computer and telephone skills, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Blend AES Drilling Fluids products to specified properties and weights.
• Perform mud checks to ensure product accuracy before dispatching loads.
• Check and roll storage drilling fluids tanks to prevent settling.
• Assist with checking motors and equipment and strapping tanks at the liquid mud plant, as needed.
• Assist with driving to AES customer locations to deliver small pickup loads, air compressors, pumps, engineering equipment, and similar items.
• Assist warehouse personnel with warehouse operations duties, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse and/or Assistant Warehouse Manager.
