About The Position
The Warehouse Worker I will manage receiving for the inbound trucks. This role involves receiving goods, verifying quality and count against supplier records, maintaining receiving records, and handling discrepancies and damage claims. The position also includes transporting materials, loading trucks, performing clerical duties, and participating in training.
Requirements
- Must perform “At the Bar” or greater.
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
- Forklift Certification
Nice To Haves
- Blueprint/Drawing reading
- IPC/WHMA 620 Certified or any other IPC training
Responsibilities
- Manage receiving for inbound trucks.
- Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers, checking against suppliers’ count and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain Receiving records for goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
- Maintain a database of receiving transactions.
- Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or damages.
- Complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
- Transport materials on the shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle.
- Load trucks using a forklift.
- Perform other clerical duties.
- Actively participate in all required training.
- Maintain regular attendance at work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
