Warehouse/Wire Cutter Lead - 2nd Shift
About The Position
As the Value-Added Services Lead at Crescent Electric, you will oversee the daily operations of the Value-Added Services team. This includes wire cutting, pipe cutting, inventory control, safety and housekeeping, and directing the activities of Value-Added Services staff. You will be responsible for assigning work duties, meeting with associates daily to provide support and instructions, and ensuring a safe work environment. You will also identify areas for improvement, partner cross-functionally to resolve issues, ensure proper training for team members, and perform associate-level tasks as needed. Communication with supervisors and management regarding operational policies, procedures, and laws is essential, as is upholding the company's values, culture, professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- 1+ years of experience using a stand-up reach forklift, power pallet jacks, cherry picker, and sit-down forklift.
- 1+ years of warehouse experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in a wire cutting, CNC, machine operator, and/or production capacity.
- Proficient in Eclipse, specifically History Ledger, Change Log, Product Activity Log, and Location Maintenance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse terminology and practices.
- Reading and understanding cut tags and cut comments.
- Utilizing, or learn to use, all necessary computer software and industrial equipment.
- Verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet minimum productivity standards.
- Ability to be reliable, open to change, and adaptable.
- Ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics and arithmetic.
- Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners.
- Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Assign work duties in the wire and pipe department.
- Meet with Value-Added Services Associates daily to answer questions, provide support, and deliver work instructions.
- Ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement and communicate to management team for resolution.
- Partner cross-functionally to rectify issues and address errors.
- Ensure appropriate training is provided to and completed by value-added services team members.
- Perform Value-Added Services Associate Level 1, 2, and 3 tasks, as needed.
- Communicate with supervisor and manager as needed when operation is not in accordance with organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws for further investigation.
